i dreamt that i was on holiday or something with loads of people, including my friend louise, and i somehow ended up hanging out with moby.
he was quite the character. he kept playing jokes on people, but they were the most random jokes ever. like he would keep buying people tickets to amsterdam. it was crazy. he climbed a tree at one point, so i ran after him to try and get him down, then he climbed through the window of someone's house (who turned out to be some people i met at the radiohead gig last night) and sat on their couch. i was just about to get his mobile phone number when i woke up, which is a pain.
it'd be nice to have moby's phone number.
concert i have ever been to. EVER.

looking over the setlist again now.. it seems a bit httt-heavy, but the songs they picked from other albums were really well recieved. i wasn't expecting the bends, or my iron lung, that's for sure :) so glad they played exit music, that's possibly the most wonderful, sad, beautiful radiohead song there is. and it was great to hear a wolf at the door too! mainly because i'd spent most of the time after buying hail to the thief trying to learn the words :)
there there, street spirit, fake plastic trees, karma police, 2+2=5, lucky. all so so so aweome.
best gig ever.
which make me realise i'm nowhere near as great as some people say i am.
penny arcade!
five years eh? who'd have thought it. seems like just yesterday i was making bench strips, laughing at turok 2 jokes and checking for hidden cameras in my fridge.
i've been lucky to have been friends with tycho for about 3 years now, and i've been watching the strip grow since the very first incarnation. in fact, this is the very first comic strip i started reading online. oh my. *sniffs and wipes away a tear*
so congratulations! and here's to another five years guys. all the best.
i should have mentioned this earlier, and i don't know why i didn't, but i got the job at the amc! this really highlights my attitude towards keping a journal online, doesn't it? :)
the interview went awesomely, i am overqualified, i love movies, i have the same favourite films as the interviewer, everything went great. i'm starting there on wednesday, so pretty soon i'll be bringing in the mons! *phew* i really needed a job :) now i can start saving for all the stuff i've wanted :)
last night sarah and gemma, the annoying flatmates, were up making loads of noise with however many friends, runing up and down the flat and arsing about until at least 5:30 AM. i couldn't sleep at all.
this has REALLY got to stop.
should have said this earlier, but i've had job interviews! i had two in two days, after all this waiting too! hoo-hah!
virgin megastores was the first one. they called me up and asked me to come in for a "recruitment evening", which was basically about 24 people coming into the store and being split up into groups and doing tasks. we had a quiz, where we had to answer questions on music, singles, dvd & vhs, games and other, we had to do a presentation on a product in the store, trying to sell it, and there was the obligatory interview. it wasn't too bad but it took forever. i was glad to get out at the end of it all.
the second was for amc cinemas, which is something i really wanted. working in a cinema is a job i actually want, you know? i love movies a lot, and as i'll get to see them all for free now, it'll save me a whole lotta money, plus i'll actually have an INCOME. too good.
flatmates are still being a real pain in the arse. it is actually impossible to sleep in this flat unless you wait for them to go to bed. at around half 4 in the morning.
complaints are going to be made to the management. i've asked them time and time again to keep it down at night, but now i really don't care if they get thrown out or not. i hope they do.
guess we're not doing that crazy 88 thing after all.
people are getting annoyed at me recently, when it's not just me that's responsible for whatever it is. i didn't come up with the idea for that all by myself, but i get people laying into me. i go out and tell two of my flatmates who bring back loads of drunken friends and shout at each other at 4 in the morning to keep it down, and suddenly i'm the focus of it all. they take my stuff and i'm the sad boring guy.
i've had enough.
i'm going to see in about half an hour.
