another shift at work. nothing special. we do have a new starter though - sarah. i tried to pass on my knowledge. it didn't take long :)
i bought tickets to see back to the future at the odeon on tuesday, it's going to be awesome! i love that film. apparently they're also showing ghostbusters soon, so tickets for that need buying too. hurrah.
i've been busily finding little things to do recently. if i'm not working i'll either be working on some drawings or watching films. recently (last few weeks) i've seen brother bear, paycheck, stuck on you, scary movie 3, pumaman, spirited away and battle royale. brother bear i went to see because it was free, and i could go see paycheck afterwards for free too. i don't care what people say, i thought it was okay. i'm not saying it was a great movie, but stop saying "ben affleck" when it comes to reasons for disliking a film. even if you really don't like him. the story was good, something i'm interested in. so for free, that was good.
in fact, i don't pay to see any movies anymore. not since i started working in the cinema, that is. notable exceptions are spirited away at the filmworks and bttf at the odeon. but i doubt other cinemas would let me see films for free :)
i wanted to write something because i don't do it too often. so. here we go. new design soon, i work on it in little bits and i need swifty to set up movable type with me, if i decide to use it. i'd lose my archive though maybe, so who knows.
deserve an update. i know. i've just been more stressed than ever these last weeks and i don't like it. so what you get today is SUPER FUN DRAWINGS BY MIKE DAY! :D
but that's later. first i'll talk about why i was stressed. things at uni are a pain. sometimes i feel like it's getting harder to get to grips with what i'm supposed to be doing.. not so much that i don't know what it is, but like i need showing how to do what i want to do, which is maybe worse :( and i don't ever get a chance to make a fresh start at it, because there's always more stuff to do. i found out the other day that the university lost about 40 exam papers, so now i have to resit one of them. sigh. i wouldn't mind so much if i didn't think that i'd have more tests and assignments to do as well as that when it comes to it. c'est la vie.
so, what else has happened? i'll tell you what. nothing. i have to be the most boring student ever. i don't really go out, i stay up late and do work, and i get swollen glands. i did go and see out of time though, and i'm glad i didn't have to pay. it was okay, but not great. you'd think that working in a cinema would mean i'd see more films.
i've been doing some drawings, i don't know how many you've seen, but i'll just go ahead and show you a couple. yeah, this is the super happy drawing time thingy part of the post. i drew one called happy happy joy joy, appropriately enough, i'm i'm really pleased with the way it turned out! go take a look at it. i also drew an old school style sketch, stuck in the mud, which you should also look at. rock on.
