today. i went over to the house, moved in some more stuff, made up my bed and everything! i'm in a battle of sorts with martin over which room we're getting. he moved his stuff into a different room because it had a lock on it, i oved my stuff into the room we both want and put a lock on it.

so. both of us want the same room, and my stuff is in there at the moment. martin wants me to toss a coin with him to decide who gets it. i don't want to, because a) he has nothing to lose then, either staying where he is or moving into the room i want, b) i got my stuff in there first, and c) no one else has to toss a coin to get their rooms now. i say it's just bad luck. he wouldn't get anyone else to swap so why should i? hmph. i go away to america for a month on friday anyway, so i guess i can't protect my room from then onwards, i just hope i get that one.

after the room thing i went to grab a sandwich and a snack, because i had to go do a market research thing on virgin trains and their shops. it was simple work, £35 and re-imbursement for the aforementioned items for an hour of talking! hurrah!

so tomorrow i guess i have to go do more sorting things out. i haven't been able to do as much as i could, but i'll see what i can. i want to go shopping for things as well. i'll give it my best shot. wish me luck on my travels! adios!

i'm still alive. i had a bit of a posting spree this last week, there were more posts this last week than there were in the month before it¹ - expect this to last for a little while if i can help it. before i go away, that is²

a couple of things to mention here, firstly i should tell you that the zelda gameblog is the best use of the internet ever. this guy keeps on trucking despite having next to no comments. go check it out and lend him some support. i have been, because what he is doing is FANTASTIC. i can't wait until he gets into link's awakening.

secondly, i updated chatter! i haven't been funny recently, so let's hope the dry spell ends soon. everyone: IM me and be crazy³.

i am super tired, so i'm going to head off to bed and hope i don't have a cold. i need fluids!

a whole bunch of fun, as it should be! it didn't rain much, just a slight drizzle and a little wind every so often, and it cleared up towards the end anyway. hurrah! i had fun with all the guys from work too. even though i don't work there anymore.

i went on all the rollercoasters that i wanted, except the new "spinball whizzer" one, where the bit you sit in actually spins around as you go around the track. crazy! that was closed, but i still managed to go on air, nemesis, enterprise, the black hole, duel (formerly the haunted house), corkscrew, hex, the runaway mine train, the congo river rapids and the log flume. the latter two of course left me a little damp. not as wet as michael and tom though who, being at the front of the boat thing, ended up underwater at one point. i remember looking up and seeing this wave of water crashing over the front of the thing. fantastic. :)

i love rollercoasters, although i am now very tired. oh well! i will grab some sleep and see what tomorrow brings.

oh, i almost forgot. i actually BOUGHT music today! from the itunes store! 79p of sweet, sweet legal inter-web music. i bought "ch-check it out" by the beastie boys. (i was having trouble finding a complete version of it).

to go into too much detail now, because there's a lot to say and i need to go, but i'm not going to be moving in for a while, it would seem. things are complicated. lots of work being done on the house and fighting over rooms. GREAT.

in other news, i am going to alton towers tomorrow! hurrah! but apparently it is going to rain a lot. BOO. i don't want to get caught out!

there is a lovely red sky out though tonight. and as the saying goes, red sky at night.. barn's on fire.

we shall see. i want to go on rides. so they better let me. up, on the metrolink and into manchester for 7am then? JOY.

this bastard of a thing just deleted the huge post i was writing. i don't know, when i DO finally decide to say something, i lose it. GREAT.

in point form!
· i passed all my modules, one of them barely so. i don't have to repeat the year. YAY.
· it is almost time for my trip to america! i am nervous, excited, and ILL-PREPARED. YAY.
· i'm looking forward to meeting emily (and chris) for the first time. YAY!
· i can't wait to hang out with swifty, cait, daniel, renee and buffy again. YAY!
· hopefully this time renee and i won't be incredibly nervous, and i won't completely ignore buffy. I HOPE.
· i am going to a theme park on thursday, which i am going to pay for when i hand my uniform in at the cinema today. YAY.
· i will also get my keys, allowing me to move into my new house on friday. YAY.
· i may not have internet access after that, depending on how long it takes to sort it all out. BOOOO.

also, there was something else about me needing to buy currency, and find a bag large enough to carry all of emily's skittles. and i was going to challenge everyone i meet to destructo battles. yes. ah well. i am a busy bee. i think i mentioned that as well as this america trip i am planning on visiting people elsewhere who i really want to be with too. so i will be very well travelled over time. hurrah!

back home for a while, and so is all my stuff. i hope it doesn't stay here too long, i want to get moved in! although i probably won't be able to get internet access until just before i move in. i'll try and keep in touch with people, especially people i'm visiting in america, but if i can't then i will.. uh. probably cry.

mudge just initiated a video chat with me, which was... interesting. he paraded all of his expensive stuff (imac, camera, fooseball table) around in front of me, and the, showed me his books and detailed his plans for world domination. all this time of course, my microphone and webcam weren't working. way to go, mike! of course he talks faster than i can type, so i came off as quiet and boring. sorry mudge!

i need to find good internet people for my house. someone tell me where to get a cheap hub/router thingy, and what isp to get! STAT.
